Overview of the main Appointments settings page. Covers services, availability, limits, text messages, and Visitor website setup.
What is the Appointments Settings Page?
The Appointments Settings page is your central hub for managing appointment-based service offerings in Qminder. This is where you control what services are bookable, which team members are available for scheduling, and what limitations or visitor-facing settings apply.
π Access: Only Managers and Admins have access to full Appointments settings.
Services
The Services section defines which services can be offered for booking via Appointments.
- All non-archived services are available to be made bookable.
- Use the toggle to enable or disable each service for appointments.
- Click on a service to open its appointment-specific settings.
Read more about how to manage: add, disable, and delete services themselves in the article How to set up Services (Lines)
Available settings per service for appointments:
- Name β Renaming the service updates it everywhere.
- Translations β Manage directly in this view or enable first via Languages & Translations.
- Color β Used to color-code appointments in the Calendar view.
- Enable for Appointments β Activates the booking toggle.
- Duration β Choose 15, 30, 45, 60, or 120 minutes as the default appointment length.
πΎ Donβt forget to click Save in the upper-right corner after making changes.
βΉοΈ Note: Appointment availability depends on both service and assigned team member schedules. These are linked and cannot be managed in isolation.
Team Availability
This section lets you assign and manage the team members who provide appointments.
Functions include:
- Search & Filter β Quickly find team members and filter by service they provide.
- Assign Team Members β Add clerks, managers, admins, or the account owner.
- Overview Table β Shows name, assigned services, booking limit, and weekly availability hours.
To manage or edit a team memberβs availability, click on their name.

Limits
Use limits to control booking timeframes.
- Minimum Notice β Set how soon before an appointment a visitor can book (e.g. 2 hours).
- Date Range β Set how far in advance a visitor can book (e.g. 30 days).
These help manage predictability and prevent last-minute bookings or overly long scheduling windows.
Text Messages
This section links to automated text message settings, where you can define SMS messages specifically for appointments.
π Feature coming soon. Weβll update this page when itβs available.
Visitor Website
This section links to the Visitor Website settings β where visitors actually book their appointments.
If your location already has a Visitor Website, no extra steps are needed.
If not, follow this guide: Create Your Own Visitor Website
β You do not need to enable remote sign-in for Appointments to function.
