How does remote sign-in work in Qminder?

How to set up remote sign-in and disperse crowds?

Remote Sign-In with Qminder allows visitors to join the queue before arriving, offering a flexible and efficient waiting experience.

How does remote sign-in work?

  1. Visitors sign in remotely

    • Visitors access your location's Visitor website page via a link or QR code, where they can enter their name, and other details and select a Service to check-in.
    • Remotely signed-in visitors appear in the Service View labeled as “from website” for easy identification.
  1. Visitor waits remotely

    • After signing in, visitors can wait in their car or any location outside. Sign-in process ends with a personal visit status page that updates them on the next steps. With Text Messaging enabled, visitors receive a confirmation and can chat with Clerks if needed.
  2. Clerk calls visitor for Service

    • When it’s their turn, visitors receive a text with further instructions (if SMS is enabled) or are called in by name or via Qminder’s TV waitlist app. Visit Status page also indicates that it's their turn and provides additional info.
